Therapeutic Horticulture Workshops

Nurturing growth. Cultivating connection. Supporting wellbeing.

I offer mindfulness-based therapeutic horticulture workshops designed especially for older adults and children. As a Registered Social Worker (MSW) with specialized training in therapeutic horticulture, I design programs that combine evidence-based mental health practices with the healing power of plants.

Therapeutic horticulture uses plant-based activities to support emotional, social, cognitive, and physical wellbeing. Workshop participants will engage in meaningful activities that encourage:

  • Emotional regulation

  • Stress reduction

  • Sensory engagement

  • Social connection

  • Confidence and skill-building

  • Joy and creativity

  • Connection to land and environmental stewardship

Research shows that interaction with nature can reduce anxiety, improve mood, and enhance overall wellbeing — especially when combined with mindfulness and therapeutic support.
